Clinical Supervision Services for Aspiring Mental Health Professionals in Killeen, TX

At Moving Forward Therapy and Beyond, we are passionate about guiding the next generation of mental health professionals. Thus, we offer clinical supervision services for aspiring therapists in Texas and Florida, especially those pursuing licensure as Marriage and Family Therapists. Dr. Boros is an approved supervisor in Texas (LMFT-S) for MFTs and a qualified supervisor in Florida for MFTs and MHCs, along with being an AAMFT-Approved Supervisor. Through these supervisor designations, Dr. Boros supervises LMFT Associates, aspiring AAMFT-Approved Supervisors, Registered Marriage and Family Therapy Interns (Florida and Texas), and Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns (Florida). Our goal is to provide a supportive, growth-focused environment where emerging clinicians can build competence, confidence, and ethical integrity.

What Supervision in the Therapeutic Space Entails

Clinical supervision is a collaborative process that supports therapists-in-training as they develop core skills, navigate client challenges, and refine their professional identity. Supervision sessions may involve reviewing case conceptualizations, discussing therapeutic techniques, examining ethical concerns, and addressing the emotional impact of clinical work. Supervision also emphasizes cultural responsiveness and documentation practices to ensure each supervisee is progressing in both knowledge and self-awareness.

Regular supervision, while a requirement for licensure, is also essential for developing sound clinical judgment and maintaining quality care for clients. We believe supervision should be a space where questions are welcomed, growth is encouraged, and clinical challenges are met with curiosity and reflection.

    Dr. Boros’s Approach to Supervision

Dr. Boros utilizes a postmodern approach through a Solution-Focused framework. Her style explores the self of the therapist to promote personal and professional growth at the same time as acknowledging common factors of therapy. Together, these contribute to a well-rounded professional. Even though she does not expect supervisees to conduct therapy from a Solution-Focused perspective, she continues to assess supervisees throughout the licensure process to ensure neutrality prevails in their work as professional therapists. Throughout this process, supervisees adhere to legal and ethical boundaries while becoming the best possible therapist they can be. Understand that every supervisee is an individual, and each journey may not look the same as another supervisee’s.
