Maribel Sanders, MFT Student Intern

Maribel Sanders is currently a graduate student at Capella University. She will earn a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy in March 2025. In 2000, she graduated from the University of  Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education K-12. She is currently a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Currently, Maribel is a Special Education Teacher at a middle school. As a teacher, she has helped her students find their strengths and work to reach their potential. Additionally, as a Special Education Teacher, Maribel has provided an environment where students feel safe and encouraged to share thoughts and feelings. Providing a healthy environment for her students is of the utmost importance to her. As a therapist, she will take what she learned as a teacher and from her students and implement it in the sessions. Maribel will establish a therapeutic environment where her clients feel safe and respected.
